Food Safety for Small Farms

Are you a produce grower interested in learning about basic farm food safety practices? In this interactive workshop, you will learn why food safety is important and how to implement basic practices to minimize food safety risks on your farm. This workshop will specifically address food safety requirements for fruit and vegetable growers selling to food hubs participating in CFSA’s FarmsSHARE program but will be beneficial to any grower interested in learning more. Come prepared to participate in discussions and activities! Immediately following this workshop there will be an optional packhouse tour and demonstration at Red Beard Farms, ending by 5 pm.
