Regenerative Organic Certification
January 10 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EST

Please join Iowa Organic Association and Elizabeth Whitlow, Executive Director of Regenerative Organic Alliance, for a webinar on Tuesday, January 10 at noon. ROA is a non-profit organization that manages the Regenerative Organic Certification (ROC). During the webinar, Elizabeth will provide an overview of ROA and what it takes to become certified.
Regenerative Organic Certified® is a revolutionary new certification for food, fiber, and personal care ingredients that represents the highest standard for organic agriculture in the world, with stringent requirements for soil health, animal welfare, and social fairness. ROC® uses the USDA Certified Organic standard as a baseline. From there, it adds important criteria and benchmarks that incorporate the three major pillars of regenerative organic agriculture into one certification.
Elizabeth Whitlow’s role as the Executive Director of ROA is the culmination of over 23 years working in the field of organic agriculture. Whitlow began her career as an advocate for shade-grown, fair-trade, and organic coffee growers in Central America and has continued her career continued working across the spectrum of elevated certifications, both in farming and ranching.
