Small Engine Maintenance and Repair
August 24 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm EDT

Do you want to take better care of the small engines that you rely on for work? In this workshop we will cover anatomy, tuneups, unflooding and your own questions! Please bring a gasoline-powered 2 stroke unit to practice on and learn more about (trimmer, chainsaw, etc). This workshop will not cover riding mowers, tractors, motorcycles or diesel engines. Please also bring personal protective equipment (gloves, eye and ear protections). Participants should know how to start and use the unit. This workshop is led by Angela, who is a Stihl Silver certified small engine technician. She currently works for arborists in the midcoast region and loves small engines for the autonomy they offer.
MOFGA’s Farm Training Project (FTP) workshops are designed for apprentices, Journeypeople, farmworkers and other beginning farmers. They follow an informal format including a farm tour and conversation on the topic of the day. For details or directions to workshops, call (207) 568-4142, email education@mofga.org.
