DESCRIPTION:Today’s agricultural landscape is filled with complex challenges and increasing uncertainty. Building trust between farmers and agricultural professionals has never been more important. \nJoin farmer\, facilitator\, and leadership coach Ryan Erisman for an interactive workshop exploring the human side of agricultural change. Through engaging discussions and practical exercises\, participants will gain new tools for building trust\, improving communication\, navigating uncertainty\, and supporting meaningful change within agriculture. \nWorkshop topics include: \nUnderstanding behavioral drivers and resistance to change\nManaging uncertainty in agricultural systems\nActive listening and building trust\nThe role of middle adopters in driving change\nManaging personal energy while supporting others\nRethinking the question: “How do we get farmers to do ___?” \nThis workshop is designed for agricultural and conservation professionals\, nonprofit staff\, researchers\, technical assistance providers\, ag business professionals\, and farmer leaders looking to strengthen their ability to work effectively with farmers and communities.

SUMMARY:Marbleseed in the Field: A Diversified Organic Showcase at Gwenyn Hill Farm
DESCRIPTION:Join Marbleseed at Gwenyn Hill Farm for a full day of practical\, hands-on education\, and peer-to-peer connection with organic farmers! \nAttendees can select two field sessions total: one from four morning and one from our afternoon options. Lunch will be available for purchase between sessions from Marty’s Itty Bitty BBQ\, featuring produce from the farm. Then stick around for an evening of dinner from area food trucks\, drinks\, demos\, farm tours\, and live music from the Beth Kille Band! The evening portion will open to the public – a chance for eaters and buyers to learn more about diversified organic farming. \nAbout Gwenyn Hill Farm \nLocated just west of Milwaukee in the Kettle Moraine region\, Gwenyn Hill Farm is a 430-acre diversified organic farm with a strong commitment to conservation\, biodiversity\, and sustainable agriculture. The farm produces certified organic vegetables\, livestock\, and value-added products while utilizing rotational grazing\, perennial plantings\, and land stewardship practices suited to the region’s rolling landscape. \nThe farm sells through a CSA\, on-farm stand\, and local farmers markets\, while also serving as a gathering place for agricultural education and community events. \nAdditional information: \nTickets are $75 for the full day and $15 for the evening only. This event will take place rain or shine—please come prepared for the weather and walking in the fields. Attendees with either walk or be transported by tractor wagon to different sections of the farm for workshops. \nPartial refunds are available if you are unable to attend and request a refund before the end of the day on September 11. A processing fee applies based on how close the refund request is to the event.
