Would you join OFA to stand with other organic farmers right now?
Let’s take farmer priorities to policymakers to ensure organic is not forgotten.
With only a $25 membership fee today, you can help power our D.C. outreach to educate new members of Congress about why organic is important, how it’s different from other farming methods, why consumer demand is growing, and why farmers need support.
What We’re Working On Now
OFA’s policy positions are set each year through a survey process where only certified organic farmers have the final vote on which policies OFA supports. While a new administration and Congress are transitioning in and the Farm Bill is still incomplete, we are continuing to advocate for policies that support organic priorities, such as:
-
- Promoting organic integrity and stopping import fraud
- Ensuring that certified organic operations are soil-based
- Dismantling corporate consolidation in organic
- Promoting the conservation benefits of organic practices
- Making USDA programs work better for organic farmers
- Expanding organic research
- Securing support for organic dairies
Membership isn’t just a donation. It’s about farmers coming together to have their voices heard and put their own farming experiences in a national context to work for change for all farmers.
