Organization Overview
In 2016, we launched Organic Farmers Association to put farmers in the driver seat to advocate and educate for more domestic organic farms, strong organic standards, and technical assistance and education to support a national growth of organic farming.
From 2017-2020 the Rodale Institute supported this initiative as fiscal sponsor and partner. In 2020, Organic Farmers Association became an independent 501c5 nonprofit and we continue to partner with Rodale Institute.
Our mission is to provide a strong and unified national voice for domestic certified organic producers. With the purpose to build and support a farmer-led national organic farmer movement and national policy platform.
To learn more about our policy positions, please review our full policy platform and OFA’s current year policy priorities.
OFA Press Contact
Would you like to speak to someone at OFA for a story, research, or background information? Our team has decades of experience on front lines of organic policy and in the soil, too, as farmers, certifiers, and farmer services experts, and we’re always willing to work with journalists to help them shape their stories. We can also connect media to organic farmers across the U.S. with a range of experiences, as well as partner organizations.
Please use the contact information here to get connected to the expert right for your story.
Note, only media inquiries will receive a response. General inquiries should be emailed to: info@organicfarmersassociation.org.
