A Lot Has Happened Since Your Membership Expired

We’ve been busy fighting for the things you care about, and we could really use you back in our corner. Renewing takes just a minute!

OFA and its members recently…

  • Secured support during our annual Farmer Fly-In for the Organic Import Verification Act (S.1398) from Senator Grassley (IA)
  • Had the Organic Dairy Data Collection Act (H.R.4110) introduced as a direct result of OFA’s Dairy Farmer Workgroup’s efforts in the House Farm Bill draft
  • Advocated successfully for an extension of crop insurance protections for beginning farmers through the Crop Insurance for Future Farmers Act, included in the HR1 bill

Here’s what your membership makes possible:

  • Educating the people who make the decisions. Members of Congress often don’t know organic from conventional, let alone why the farm bill matters to your bottom line. OFA is there to fill that gap, explaining the real challenges organic farmers face and why policy support is essential.
  • Keeping you informed when it matters most. Policy changes happen fast. Your membership keeps you connected to what’s actually happening in D.C. and how it affects your farm.
  • Turning farmer knowledge into farmer-led solutions. Nobody understands the challenges of organic farming better than the people doing it. That’s why OFA hosts Farmer Workgroups, organizes Farmer Fly-Ins to Capitol Hill, and maintains a Farmer Helpline to support farmers directly. Your priorities are OFA’s policy priorities.

Membership isn’t just a donation. It’s about farmers coming together to have their voices heard and put their own farming experiences in a national context to work for change for all farmers.
